The Kingfisher Trust Strikes Again

Mr. Syd Wells a UEFA Football Coach has just returned to the UK after spending two weeks in

The Gambia training youngsters on football The first volunteer football coach was organised

by Wendy of the friends of Kingfisher Trust to see if it would be any help to Gambian youngsters to

have other volunteer UEFA coaches from the UK to visit and to help train them. Mr. Well's

(now called Uncle Syd) was able to select a new (very young) team from around 60 to 80 players

from Manduar village He has been very im- pressed with the quick ness the boys have

learned from him and will do his best to encourage other football coaches to follow his example and

with the help of the friends of Kingfisher Trust more trips would be organised to help

communities to start their own teams.
