AFFLIATION: KING FISHERS TRUST/ PRESIDENT'S AWARD SCHEME

The Management of Talinding Skills Development Centre (T.S.D.C.) wishes to express its deep appreciation and gratitude to the Board of Governors and Management of the Kingfishers Trust in Association with the President's Award Scheme, for providing this wonderful facilities for use by our Sewing Section. The improved facility and equipment will not only alleviate the classroom accommodation problem but also improve the Teaching/Learning situation.

The T.S.D.C, was started in 1990 by a group of young Gold Award Holders of the President's Award Scheme. Since its inception T.S.D.C. has focused its training on Elementary and Junior Secondary School graduates and also school drop-outs, in marketable skills such as; Carpentry and Secretarial Services (including Computer Literacy). Sewing will now be included in the teaching programmes thanks to this new association.

I am confident that this fully equipped, newly refurbished facility with all the necessary equipment; new furniture and electric fittings will be maximally used by T.S.D.C. to trained many young people needing these marketable skills for the socio-economic development of the Gambia.

On behalf of the Management of T S D.C. I wish to thank the Trust once more for providing this facility and affirm that everything possible will be done to preserve the facilities for use by generations to come.
