DONATION OF A FULL SET BRITANNICA ENCYCLOPEDIA TO:
THE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION PROGRAMME - UEP.

Receiving the encyclopedia at the Trust's headquarters, the Librarian at the management Development Institute commented that the gesture was a noble one toward the strengthening of the information services of the Library which is the main resource centre for the students of the University Extension Programme.

DONATION OF TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS TO
JULANGEL SKILL CENTRE and THE PRESIDENT'S AWARDS SCHEME
.

During the period in review, the Trust maintained a formidable partnership with the Julangel Skill Centre and the President Award Scheme in the development of skill training. The Trust donated tools to the Julangel Skills & Rural Development Centre and the President's Award Scheme on several occasions. These two institutions are noted among many other institutions which are making very good use of the items donated to them. So with the aid they are receiving from the Trust, the Principal of the Julangel Skills & Rural Development Centre, commented early this year that apart from central government, Kingfisher Trust has been, and is still their largest donor. This was received by Trust as merited Credit, considering the level of assistance the Centre is receiving from the Trust. The National Director of the President's Award Scheme also commended the Trust for maintaining a formidable partnership with their Scheme.

PROVISION OF CLASSROOM FACILITIES FOR
TALLINDING SKILLS AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

The most recent development is the training facility provided by the Trust at the Karaiba Avenue Headquarters, for the Talingding Skill and Development Centre. One of the main aims of this project is to help underprivileged girls in The Gambia. This includes a modern classroom structure for lectures in computer studies and typing(Secretarial duties). The Classroom is equipped with modern facilities that enhance effective training under a very conducive atmosphere. The project is in collaboration with the President's Award Scheme.

DONATION OF TOOL TO:
THE BANSANG JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL,
THE LATRIKUNDA JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL,
ST. THERESE'S JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL and
BAKAU NEW TOWN PRIMARY SCHOOL.

Bansang Junior Secondary school received Carpentry tools, sowing machines and home science materials form the Trust in order to animate their technical and home science departments. The items donated were later said to have played a vital role in the practical examinations of the school, and also prevented the school from out to borrow tools for the functioning of their technical department. The Trust donated six sewing machines to the technical department of the St, Theresa's junior secondary school, and has since been helping the school with the printing of examination papers, School Magazine, etc. The technical department of Latrikunda Junior School was also assisted with Carpentry and metal work tools, which were also very useful in the Practical of the National Junior Secondary School leaving Certificate examination.

TUTI FAAL JAMMEH FUTURE DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL,
TAMBASSANSANG EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CENTRE and
MAY'S NURSERY SCHOOL AND DAYCARE CENTRE.

Tuti Faal Jammeh Future Development School was initially assisted with carpentry tools and a sewing machine for the purpose generating income to cover some of it administrative costs. Since then the Trust has been assisting the school diverse ways, ranging form the supplies of typewriters, stationery and teaching aid, to the printing of materials etc.

The Trust assisted Tambassansang ECE Centre and nursery school with tools for basic training and income generating purposes. The materials were received by the Head of the Centre mr. Lamin Jarju, who revealed the Centre was going through lots material constraints as a result of lack of funds. The Trust was impressed by the efforts of the Community in putting up the structure being used for classroom facilities. Linking the school with other schools in Europe was further discussed, and though no promises were made to the effect, the Trust agreed to explore such possibilities with the return of our Senior FundRaiser to Europe.

Blocks were donated to May's Nursery School and Daycare Centre for the reconstruction of the School's structures which were burnt down few years ago. The Trust has also been assisting the school in other ways.
